Highlights from the AGM

Here is a brief of the Annual General Meeting, for more details contact Ted or Deryl.

New Executive
President: Ted Rowland, Valleyview Dollar Store
Vice Pres: Deryl Priebe, Edward Jones Investments
Secretary: Charlie Jackson, Daily News
Treasurer: Lynn Vicars

Projects:
- Valleyview Lions Club, Family Day in the Park,
Sunday, May 28. We will be participating with the Lions in this event. See other article for more details.

- Kamloops Marketing. Ted and Deryl will continue to attend the monthly meeting at City Hall with the other BIA's, Chamber, City, Kamloops Futures and Venture Kamloops. We have found our participation with this group most beneficial over the past few years.

- Support Valleyview Dry Grad. This is an excellent event for us as the Valleyview businesses to support. If you have something to donate or want to help our youth, call Lynn Vicars.

- Christmas Parade. We did not participate last year as no one came forward to co-ordinate. We do have decoration and parties that would like to participate, including the schools. If this is something you would like to do, call one of the Executive.

- Other items. We are continuing to discuss with the City the paving of the Arena parking lot, the bike trail/overpass, completing the Rivers trail from Rivershore Park to the Wildlife Park. The Frontage road enhancement and Adopt a Road concept to help with our litter issues and help to maintain Valleyview.

Membership to the association is only $50 a year. If you have not paid your membership yet this year, go to "downloads" at the bottom of our webpage and send us your cheque today.

Thanks for all your support over the past year and we look forward to very exciting 2006.
